GFRG at The Michigan

Grand Central Station

Evergreene Architectural Arts masterfully restored many of the primary spaces in the Michigan Grand Central Station. They challenged Palladio GFRG to recreate many of the interior components lost to years of neglect and exposure to the elements.

Utilizing centuries old carving, molding, and casting techniques, Palladio restored components to their original grandeur. Palladio then cast new strong and light-weight parts which Evergreene installed onto the existing architecture. Palladio employed gypsum tinting and textured surfacing methods to match the originals.

Evergreene’s vast knowledge and experience in restoration coupled with Palladio’s expertise in manufacturing resulted in the transformation of Detroit's iconic Michigan Central Station interior into an architectural masterpiece that serves as the new mobility hub for the Ford Motor Company.
